Photography and writing.
Without these two constants in my life, it wouldn’t make a lot of sense. I was told by my mother she used to leave me in bookstores from a young age. From my fascination with reading it was a natural progression towards writing. Photography started in roughly 2008 when I purchased my first camera – a Kodak M531, which I still use today.
My name is Richard. I want to invite you to follow along on my journey which I will attempt to decode using photography and writing. I started this website in an attempt to share personal things – photos, writing and opinions & ideas. As you browse the website and read the posts, feel free to leave a comment and get in touch.
What can you expect as a reader?
I focus mainly on photography related ideas on my Substack page, which you can find here. It ranges from tips for beginner photographers and some more philosophical ideas around the subject. Sharing photos here is also something to look forward to.
At the moment I’m working a full time 8-5 job but as many of us I’d love to move towards becoming a full time writer / photographer or at very least enjoy these passions part time. I have a Paystack page where you can support me and I’m in the process of setting up a page where I will be selling some photos. If you are only here to read and comment I still value your support.
In the meantime, feel free to look around.
Thanks for reading : )
Richard
