Photography and writing have been constants in my life. My mother often left me in bookstores as a child; that early love of reading quietly led me to writing. I began photographing around 2008 with my first camera, a Kodak M531, which I still use today. I’m Richard. Through this website, I share photography and writing that explore quiet moments and everyday life.

On my Substack, I explore photography through writing — from tips for beginners to reflective ideas on seeing and capturing the world. I share images there as well, which you can explore at your leisure.
I work full-time, but my aim is to dedicate more time to writing and photography, even if only part-time for now. Some of my photographs are available for sale. If you’d like to support my work, there’s a page for that, but simply reading and engaging is already appreciated.
