Mundane.

It’s been a while since I sat down to write something.

When I started working on his post yesterday the idea was simple. Take a few photos, mundane ones, and write about them. Since then one or two things have changed which made me dive back into the space where I don’t write. Or where I don’t have a lot of energy for anything.

Managing these types of situations & emotions are difficult for me. I can pinpoint reasons why I do the things I do, why I react the way I do and sometimes, why I just stay quiet and say nothing. I’m not a person for conflict because I don’t have an off switch for that type of thing – I don’t stop once I’m on a roll. Because there are so many instances where I don’t say something it is as if I build up a reserve.

I remember the injustices. So if the sh!t hits the fan I tend to unpack. Which is why I don’t really get into conflict. As you can imagine, this isn’t a healthy place to be in. Which explains a few things about me. End of the psychology lesson for today.

Here are a few mundane photos I took yesterday and today. Stuff on the complex and unorganized platform with four legs which I call my table and a canvas against the wall.

tl;dr

Sometimes it takes one thing to throw your day off.

If you’re stuck somewhere, in a predicament or just a shitty mental space: do something mundane. For me this has lately been sketching a kit of simple sketches on the pages of my notebook. Mundane photos also work.

Thanks for reading : )
