I enjoy cooking.
I’m not professional or classically trained in any culinary skill yet the experience of standing behind a stove and preparing a meal isn’t something I shy away from.
On a Sunday I prefer to cook the afternoon ‘lunch’ meal.
This Sunday was a bit different. Me and my brother have spoken about preparing Shakshuka at varies times over the past few weeks. Sometimes things go your way when it comes to cooking and sometimes they don’t. On this Sunday it came together perfectly.
We took some tomatoes, three of them. Added some tomato & onion mix, some spices (paprika and korma curry mix) and garlic. Fried the tomatoes & onions. Garlic in later then in went the sauce.
At first I didn’t think the eggs would cook properly – I like eggs cooked through. Turns out the eggs getting poached is perfect. 10/10 trying it again next Sunday. Here are a few images I snapped with my XE-2 and 35mm lens.
