It’s a rainy, cold and generally miserable Sunday.
The rain started early this morning and it is only now that it is showing signs of stopping. As is often the case we are expecting the easter weekend to be one filled with rain.
I haven’t been as busy with writing and photos as I want to be but I’ve managed to play a bit more with some movie posters. For this latest round I decided to scratch around with the movie “Zodiac”. I won’t bore you with too much details on the movie or the real life case which spawned it and will just leave you with the two poster ideas I made.
For the first time in this series I decided to incorporate some existing images from the movie itself into the poster. This was modeled after a message which the killer sent to the newspapers. In the image below the same idea was used but if you look carefully you can see the word “Zodiac” as well as the director’s name (David Fincher) mixed in with the symbols.
My attempts.
I created this a few days ago and went for the same recipe as the initial sets of images I created: the title, name of the director and date. Combined with the overlay from above I also placed a quote from the movie into the background.
For the second poster I decided to do something similar to my attempt at the Memento poster. I added a few more quotes but kept the original image plus the movie poster overlay in place. The photo I used in both images were captured using my XE-2.
